This wall hanging is made of painted muslin with a wax finish that gives it the look of old leather. It's approximately 24 inches long and 18 inches wide. Stuffed with polyfil. An antique key hangs from the crows beaks. Wonderful for Valentines but lovely year round.

Gertrude the Garden Crow

Gertrude decided to wear a new spring dress as she waited for the gardens to green and begin her raiding. She is proud of her new clothes as she does her crow dance on the top of the garden fence. The other crows wish they had a dress with such fine lace for themselves.
Gertrude has a painted muslin body with a homespun dress. The lace collar is antique and hand made. 16 inches tall. She is nicely stained. Signed and dated.

The Raven and The Key ~ Sorry, out of Stock

As legend tells, it was the Raven that guarded and held the key to the Knights Templar treasure given to Robert De Bruce for safe keeping in 1215. It is said to have been hidden in a tunnel connecting the priory at Guisborough to Skelton Castle.
The Raven is the symbol of Celtic Goddess Morrigan.
It is made of painted and worn muslin with sculpted wings. It holds an antique key and is mounted on a carved finial painted in a dark olive. 8x12 inches. Signed and dated.
